It’s time once again for Vancouver Brewfest! Today and tomorrow only, you can sample over 100 different brews, as well as a few ciders, wines, and great food – and all local to Vancouver!
Get a real taste of great beer in the Pacific Northwest, in one of the fastest-growing cities for microbreweries. Will The ‘Couve overtake Portland for this point of pride? Only time will tell – but when our town has
- a festival with over a hundred different summer brews to choose from
- the great breweries that have pulled up their roots south of the river to join our community
- the excellent upstarts that have started their brewery businesses here in Vancouver
Well, here at the Lodge, we call that a fantastic start.
The festival has taken over Esther Short Park, but the farmer’s market will still be running on its regular schedule tomorrow, and the Vancouver Brewfest organizers allow you to bring food in, although there is plenty of food at the event, too.
Once you walk in, you can purchase wooden tokens. Each token is worth a four-ounce sample pour for all but a few of the most expensive brews and wines. As a beer and wine connoisseur myself, I definitely recommend trying these samples. The tokens also work like cash for making purchases with all the vendors at the festival. And if you have tokens from past years, bring them along, because they’re still good!
This is the summer fest, so your dogs are welcome, and they’ll provide water stations for your companion around the grounds.
If you’re feeling tipsy at the end of the day, check out their sponsor Vancouver Cab – and here’s a pro tip. If you plan ahead use Vancouver Cab to get to and from the event, make sure you print out your e-ticket, as that will get you $5 off the ride each way.
Ticket and sample sales go to help three different charities – Northwest Battle Buddies, Second Chance Companions, and Disabled American Veterans. Further, disabled veterans enjoy free admission.
Join the Brewfest at their beer garden today and tomorrow. You’ll have a great time, try some fantastic brews, and help some deserving charities!
