1. Plant Fair: May 7th

A free event in charming downtown Camas, this fair features plants, trees, garden art, kids’ activities, live music and food vendors.

 

2. Mother’s Day Cruise on the Portland Spirit: May 8th

One of the area’s most popular attractions, the Portland Spirit cruise is a favorite of the area and common recommendation. Offering an elaborate brunch, friendly staff and incredible tour of the Willamette River, it’s a delight for couples, families, or parties of any size.

 

3. Women’s Soccer Match: May 29th

Should you have an interest in sports, Portland’s professional women’s soccer team the Portland Thorns are playing at Providence Park on May 29th. Tickets start at $13 and the stadium is only a mere 15 minutes away from The Heathman Lodge.

 

4. Cinco de Mayo Run/Walk: May 1st

If you are looking to be outside and partake in some exercise yourself, the Cinco de Mayo Run/Walk features a half marathon, 10K, 5K and a half mile race, followed by a party with prizes at Pioneer Courthouse Square in Downtown Portland.

 

5. Illustration and Comics Festival: May 21st – 22nd

Should you be looking to engage your eye for art, Vancouver is hosting the Illustration and Comics Festival on May 21-22. Featuring an artist and illustrator meet and greet, the opportunity to be a part of panel discussions, a shop for vintage comic books, prints and paperbacks, this event is sure to be a great time. The festival is being held at Linework NW and is free of charge.
